The 20s, Digital Style

Permalink 09/09/04

Well, well, well, the net speaketh and the companies listen. There was a big bru-haha a few months ago about Nik Roope's Pokia retro phones. We'd like to think (although it's probably not entirely true) that our little contribution had something to do with Nokia's latest cellphone releases. Their new line is absolute retro, and not just 60s mod; they went way back. Inspired by the styles of the 1920s, the phones are radical departures from the old ho-hum. One of them sports a chrome/leather look, and includes a touch wheel. Even the most standard model in the line has lines like a vintage Duoflex. Well done Nokia, but you better keep it up. Nik's hot on your tail.
