Think back to when you were eleven... Didn't you dream of having the coolest styling job on your Soap Box Derby racer. Didn't it always end up looking sadly like a cheesy painted coffin? Apparently, you're not alone.
Volvo Racer

At the Extreme Gravity Racing series designers from the likes of Bentley, Volvo, and Porsche have put together the most amazing attempts to reclaim their lost childhood. These cars are actually an amazing reflection of the design talents of each company. The GM car is obviously designed to win even at the expense of imaginative form, while the Bentley is the only design that is large enough for a chauffeur. Even the Volvo looks like safety and handling were prime considerations.
These puppies aren't just for show either. A series of races will be held throughout the year. You just missed the last one, but hopefully pictures of the even will be online soon. If any of you were lucky enough to witness this spectacle, we'd love to hear about it.
