Here's a chance to check out two materials that seem pretty unrelated at first glance: Leather and polypropylene. While they are engineered from very different processes, some of the applications are pretty similar.

Oranges Are Good For You (And The Earth)

Two of the top stories of the last year have been that world oil production is peaking, and that climate change is real, and human-caused. Under African Skies

Swarovski, the same clever crystallizers that made the recent SMS Chandelier possible have announced their fall collection. Titled "Out of Africa", the selection of jewelry, handbags, and home decor uses more of the colorful stones in their line than previous collections. With color and flash becoming such an important part of the "new-mod" fashion trend, the new opportunities with created stones are worth a look.
